The original rosette is from an Ioannes Ruckers virginal from 1622 in the collection of The Met, nr 11.176.1. It was scanned by Deepa Paulus, Imaging Specialist in the Imaging Department of The Met with a FARO Laser Line Probe in combination of a FARO Edge ScanArm and afterwards edited by her in Blender.

At Formlab the shape of the 3D model was adapted for mould making and carved in soapstone:

Then Frank Hollinga (researcher and guest-professor at KASK & Conservatorium) and Manu Frederickx (researcher at KASK & Conservatorium and Conservator at the Objects Conservation Department, The Met.) made lead casts of which two have been gold plated and mounted in two reconstructed virginals.

The reconstructions are made from a virginal at the Rijksmuseum, owned and on long-term loan from the Royal Antiquities Society.
All this is part of the research project 'Reconstruction of the original state of the 1640 Ioannes Ruckers virginal in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam'. Here are some images of the process on Instagram.
